Some of our fellow neighbors have been proactive and have had discussions and meetings with our State Assemblymember Gail Pellerin, our Congressman Jimmy Panetta and have received written responses from our State Senator John Laird . Gail, Jimmy, and John are eager to help. The meetings have been positive and they have both stated there is a plan developing to solve the situation. They have not specified as of yet, but we expect to receive updates in the next few weeks. It has now trickled down to our county level, without much contact.
However, It has been expressed that the customers need to speak up and make ourselves heard. A few individuals are not enough. We've been waiting for too long to have consistent, safe water with adequate pressure. There are many short term and long term repercussions of the water and sewer system being in the current state.
The current situation is not a good one and Big Basin Water Co. does not have the resources or man power needed to bring the water and sewer system up to the basic standards as required by the State Water Board.
If you value your health, want to be able to use and drink the water you're paying for, protect your property value and the safety of your home PLEASE participate in the movement.
